Well let me tell you, I’m not sure what to make of this assignment to write about “do androids dream of electric sheep dildos.” It’s definitely something that got me thinking, for sure!

First off, I’m a huge science fiction fan, and I’m familiar with a lot of the concepts related to the whole do androids dream of electric sheep thing. But a dildo? That’s a new one, even for me!

It seems kind of funny to think of a machine or a robot, dreaming of something like a sex toy—not that there’s anything wrong with that! To be honest, it’s pretty awesome to think about, and I feel like they could learn a thing or two from us. Like, maybe they could design dildos that you just plug in and they’d have all sorts of sensations and personalized settings. I mean, we’ve already got things like that in other areas of tech—just think how much a revolution it would be in the sex toy world!

It gets me a bit excited just thinking about it. No more worrying about batteries, or not being able to find the right size, or what have you—just plug it in, set it up and you’re ready to go! Or, maybe they would have some kind of AI integrated into it, that’s able to learn your preferences and automatically adjust based on what you’re into… Wouldn’t that be something?

Honestly, it could be kind of revolutionary. I mean, technology and sex are already pretty intertwined, but imagine if androids could start really revolutionizing the sex dolls toy industry. Sure, it’s not something we’re used to thinking about, and there’s probably a lot of ethical quandaries we’d have to work out, but maybe it could help bring positive change in a whole bunch of ways.

I mean, it could open the door to better communication between partners in a relationship, better understanding of our own personal desires and fantasies, even less stigma about sex toys in general society. Who knows what else android-driven sex toys could bring!

Whether it’s ever realized in our lifetime or not, it’s still fun to imagine. And hey, it wasn’t so long ago that people thought you couldn’t get certain kinds of tech to work—until they proved they could. So while I don’t think there’ll be any electric sheep dildos in my lifetime, I’m still looking forward to seeing what the future holds!
