I was absolutely horrified when I heard Amazon had stopped selling dildos! How could they do this? Has prudishness taken over the world? I couldn’t believe it, there’s a whole segment of the population who might miss out on getting fantastic pleasure toys! I was determined to find out what had happened; Something didn’t add up.

After doing some digging, it turns out that Amazon only stopped selling some dildos made from porous materials, like jelly rubber. Apparently these materials can harbor bacteria. The risk is simply too great. It makes sense why Amazon would be interested in cutting them out of their inventory.

So the bad news is, it’s harder to find those cheap and cheerful jelly rubber dildos these days. Although, the good news is that there are now plenty of other options available. Silicone is much more hygienic, so it’s a win-win.

The great thing about silicone dildos is that they come in all shapes and sizes. And of course, there are the vibrating ones! You can get battery powered ones or even rechargeable versions. Honestly, I get why Amazon axed the jelly rubber ones, but I’m also relieved there are still so many choices available.
